Pouch first, then piggyback: that’s how a Virginia opossum carries its young, and no other marsupial lives north of Mexico. It’s usually out at night, eating nearly anything from insects and fallen fruit to snails and carrion. When badly frightened it may “play possum,” going limp with its mouth open.
Your cameras haven’t seen one yet. When they do, its visits, the hours it comes by and its photos will show up here.
