Startle a gopher snake and it puts on a full rattlesnake act, puffing up, hissing loudly and shaking its tail in dry leaves, yet it has neither rattle nor venom. Mostly out by day, it goes after rodents right in their burrows, shifting to evenings and nights when the weather turns hottest.
Your cameras haven’t seen one yet. When they do, its visits, the hours it comes by and its photos will show up here.
